*Salary Range: Up to $18 per hour
One location at a professional school setting, no driving to appointments!

Set hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm

Work as part of a classroom team to support academic instruction and behavior plans
Execute lessons as directed by teacher or classroom lead. These may include supporting independent work, special projects, teaching a lesson to a small group or running discrete trials with students
Follow tier one behavioral supports and behavior plans as directed
Assist students in participating in classroom routines, transitions and self-care tasks (as necessary)
Collect data on behavior and academics as directed
Obtain and maintain CPI certification
Implement behavior strategies in alignment with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Strong adherence to policies as outlined in the AZACS Employee Manual
Maintain professional conduct and appearance
Other duties as assigned by the administration.
Mastery and enthusiasm for best practices in autism education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Track record of success in behavior management with students with autism or other special needs
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred but not required
Ability to approach situations with optimism and perseverance
Ability to communicate with co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to exercise reasonable judgment and maintain confidentiality
Experience in structured teaching, center-based model preferred
Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
Experience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA)
ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force. At times employees may, with assistance, lift and/or move up to an individual student’s body weight. The employee will frequently need to get on the floor and physically intervene using CPI techniques with students for short durations on a regular basis and occasionally for an extended period of time.
Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom environment or outdoor school playground.
